SHOE SIZING

We consider everything in our children's shoes, from the the soles made from rubber to prevent slips and trips, to the leathers used.  Our shoes are always lined with butter soft leather inners, which is not only incredibly comfortable, but it also moulds to the foot as it grows.  It is important to get the correct size shoe for your child in order to prevent potential health problems due to ill-fitting shoes. 

We have provided a guide on how best to measure your child's foot, and included a size conversion chart if you are buying shoes from overseas. 

How to Measure

1. You will need a ruler, pen, piece of paper and some tape

2.  Tape the paper to the ground, and place your child's bare foot on it - ensure the child is standing upright, not sitting, and that the toes are spread.  This is so the weight is distributed across the feet, otherwise the foot may measure too small.

3.  Draw a line behind the heel, making sure you hold the pencil upright, and do the same at the end of the big toe.

4.  Draw a straight line between the two marks on the sheet, and then measure the line in cm to determine your shoe size.

5. Do this for both feet, most people have one foot larger than the other, so base your measurement on the largest foot.

Use the chart below to find the most appropriate shoe size for the child’s foot. The measurements given refer to the measurement in centimetres of the inner sole and the corresponding size dimension. Please allow extra room for growth in hard sole shoes.

Please note, the openwork tights are slightly smaller fitting, if in between size brackets we recommend you take the next size.
